GM Daewoo Auto & Technology (GM Daewoo) and Vietnam Daewoo Motor Company (VIDAMCO) are launching the Chevrolet Cruze in Vietnam. The new global model is based on the Lacetti Premiere sold by GM Daewoo in Korea. VIDAMCO ranks second in Vietnam’s passenger vehicle market in terms of market share (34.5%).

The Nikkei reports that Honda Motor Co. plans to increase its motorcycle production by 30% on the year to 20 million units worldwide by fiscal 2013. It has produced 250cc models for the global market in Thailand since 2010. Total global motorcycle sales totaled about 54.2 million motorbikes in India.
