South Korean automaker Hyundai is tentatively planning to build a new electric vehicle manufacturing facility in the United States, and it could land in Georgia, where Rivian is planning to build a manufacturing facility. Kia also operates one of the largest automotive production plants in the United States in Western Georgia.

Three months after opening US orders for the long-anticipated three-row EV9 SUV, the folks at Kia invited media out to wine country to test drive it for the first time. We’ve already had up-close encounters with the EV9, but this was our first chance to take it for a spin and really test everything inside and out (including that third row).

In this time Genesis went from being a model in the Hyundai line-up to becoming a car company on its own. As the luxury division of the Hyundai Group (Genesis, Hyundai and Kia) it has gone from two models in 2015 to eight in 2023. Until then, Hyundai dealers will handle Genesis sales.

We’re not holding our breath for that mythical $30,000 Chevrolet Equinox EV, but we figured retail versions of Chevy’s Silverado EV pickup truck and Blazer EV SUV would have reached the market by now. Now we’ve driven both.

Honda of America plans to sell 2 fully electric SUVs in 2024, Based on GM’s Ultium Platform – Honda confirmed plans to sell two all-electric SUVs in the US for the 2024 model year, and it soon will offer hybrid gas-electric versions of its top-selling models. Honda will offer more details later this year, he said.
