Volvo Cars and Autoliv announce the launch of Zenuity JV for AD and ADAS; first ADAS products in 2019

Volvo Cars, and Autoliv signed a final agreement to establish a new joint venture called Zenuity to develop software for autonomous driving (AD) and driver assistance systems (ADAS), based on the letter of intent announced during fall 2016. As previously announced, Autoliv and Volvo Cars will own the joint venture 50/50.

California passes 1M mark for cumulative sales of electric vehicles: BEVs, PHEVs and FCEVs

The CEC updates its Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) sales figures quarterly by analyzing DMV data. Specifically, cumulative sales through the end of 2021 were: 663,014 BEV (62.9%). California ARB considering modifications to ZEV regs to provide more flexibility for intermediate volume manufacturers

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) will conduct a public hearing on 23 October to consider amendments to the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) regulation that would modify the requirements for intermediate volume manufacturers (IVMs) selling into the state to allow them more time to come into the advanced technology vehicle market.
