The car has been rolling along ever since, including a plug-in hybrid Prime model today and variants that were discarded along the way. Good examples of all-new electric cars are the Nissan Leaf battery-electric and the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid , which both debuted in 2010 as 2011 models. Nissan’s Leaf stood alone as an EV.

In an online blog, General Motors’ (GM) vice chairman Tom Stephens stated that the company will apply plug-in hybrid technology to one of its four core brands followings its’ restructuring. The company will be divided into Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick following the decision to close Pontiac and sell Saturn.

W e've had the people in our shop go over the new energy bill with an eye for Plug Ins and electric transportation in general. Clearly, this bill will accelerate the development of Plug Ins and energy storage in general. 90 million per year authorized (2008-2012). T here has been a lot of news too!

The plug-in Prius is a separate model from the all new 2010 Prius Hybrid. The plug-in version will only be available for fleet service and will not be sold at retail to the general public. The plug-in Prius is a separate model from the all new 2010 Prius Hybrid. The plug-in Prius is expected to launch sometime in 2010.
