France saw plugin electric vehicles take 24.4% of the auto market in November, with full electrics (BEVs) alone taking 15.2%. Traditional combustion-only petrol and diesel powertrains fell under 50% share for the first time. Overall auto registrations in November stood at 133,960 units, up some 10% year on year.

Europe’s second largest auto market, France, saw plugin electric vehicles take 21.0% share in August, up modestly from 19.8% year on year. Overall auto volumes for the month were 91,403 units, an improvement over 2021, but still almost 30% down on August 2019. The bestselling full electric was again the new Renault Megane.

Were told that the agreement includes nods of acceptance from the likes of Volkswagen, BMW, Ford, General Motors, Fiat, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Eon, Vattenfall, EDF, Npower, Endesa and Enel, and while theres no time frame for when itll be introduced, were pretty stoked to hear that at least something has been decided upon.
