The results form part of the CABLED project, which will see an overall total of 110 ultra low carbon vehicles from different manufacturers, tested on the roads of Birmingham and Coventry as part of a £7.5-million Each vehicle in the CABLED trial is fitted with GPS and data logger, designed and installed by Coventry based RDM Automotive.

Vehicles powered solely by electricity accounted for just 3.1 percent of all vehicle sales in 2022 – although in 2023 the numbers are already growing. Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. Theres a company in Guernsey (a UK island) which does conversions (the Mk1 shape), but I want a current shape model and a 60 mile range is just fine. Mercedes please take note.
