DOE AVTA Completes 1M Miles of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Testing

The US Department of Energy (DOE), through its Advanced Vehicle Testing Activity ( AVTA ) at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), has completed 1 million miles of plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) testing. PHEV operations often occur with minimal pre-trip charge events – “they run even if not plugged in”.
