The Volvo Group is developing its own medium-duty (MD) engine for trucks and buses. Placing the focus for his company on internal efficiency, Volvo CEO Leif Johansson announced that the Group has developed its own medium heavy engine that will be used in trucks and buses from 2010. The Group is developing a platform for medium-heavy diesel engines as well as making significant investments in research and technology.
