The CARe 500, an electric car based on the Fiat 500, is now available from €23,900 (US$32,900). This price does not include batteries, which can be leased fore €150, including a flat-rate fee for electricity. The CARe 500 recharges in 6 to 8 hours using a normal 230 V power socket.
