Neste announced the rebranding of its renewable diesel fuel during a customer seminar and appreciation event in San Diego, California. Neste is replacing its “Neste Renewable Diesel” and earlier brand name “NEXBTL” with “Neste MY Renewable Diesel” brand name.

Neste plans to start selling diesel produced entirely from renewable raw materials at selected stations in Finland around the turn of the year. Neste’s proprietary NEXBTL technology makes it possible to produce top-quality renewable diesel and other renewable products out of waste and residue materials and vegetable oils.

Neste recently launched a renewable diesel made entirely from waste and residues under the brand name Neste MY Renewable Diesel at select service stations in the Helsinki region today, 9 January 2017. The feedstock selection available for Neste’s renewable diesel has been successfully expanded to more than 10 raw materials.

The trucks will be tested in various locations, including Google in the Bay Area, the City of Santa Monica and the Port of Los Angeles. Electric Power Research Institute , based in Palo Alto, will receive $964,210 to retrofit five existing heavy-duty diesel work trucks with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle powertrain system.
