At Mobile World Congress 2022 (MWC 2022) in Barcelona, Vietnam-based VinFast and Pininfarina illustrated the details of the interior and exterior design of their electric vehicles, VF 8 and VF 9. These two EV models are expected to be launched throughout the global market by the middle of 2022.

At Auto Shanghai 2017, China-based Hybrid Kinetic Group (HK), with its partner Pininfarina, introduced two more microturbine range-extended electric vehicles: the five-seat K550 and 7-seat K750 SUVs. These join the luxury sedan H600, introduced earlier this year at the Geneva show ( earlier post ), making a family of three.

The VinFast VF Wild electric pickup concept unveiled at the 2024 CES tech extravaganza in Las Vegas this morning was designed in Australia. The sharp-lined VF Wild ute is the work of an independent design studio in Melbourne called GoMotiv, as is the VF 3 mini electric SUV rolled out alongside it at CES.
