Enel, Nissan and IIT launch pilot corporate EV car charging project with V2G chargers

The columns installed at the IIT will, for the moment, work uni-directionally for recharging and will be the subject of a pilot development project with IIT, pending the definition of the regulatory framework for V2G in Italy. Recently, 17 additional chargers have been installed across Denmark.

Norway now has two swap stations in operation, and Nio claims it will have 20 swap stations across Europe in countries including Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden by the end of this year. This is perhaps why many swap stations have conventional cable-based conductive charging units installed in close proximity.

Clean fuel adoption is being held back by three main barriers, the EC said: the high cost of vehicles; a low level of consumer acceptance; and the lack of recharging and refueling stations. Germany, Italy and Denmark already have a significant number of hydrogen refueling stations although some of them are not publicly accessible.
