The Memorandum of Understanding commits both governments to work together on developing their respective regulations to cut greenhouse gas emissions from light-duty vehicles, such as those currently in effect in Canada, California and the 13 US states that have adopted California’s standards.

Participating Chevrolet dealers in seven key launch markets across Canada have begun taking orders for the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Volt, with an MSRP starting at C$41,545 (US$43,568). It will be offered in one standard trim level, along with two option packages: a Premium Trim Package and a Rear Camera and Park Assist Package.

The Mack LR Electric model, Mack Trucks’ first fully electric Class 8 vehicle ( earlier post ), is now in serial production at Mack’s Lehigh Valley Operations (LVO) facility in Macungie, Pennsylvania. DSNY recently announced their plan to purchase seven LR Electric models that will operate in the city’s five boroughs.

Mack began serial production of the LR Electric in 2021 at its Lehigh Valley Operations facility in Macungie, Pennsylvania, where all Class 8 Mack vehicles for North America and export are assembled. The next-generation LR Electric features 42% more energy and a standard 376 kWh total battery capacity offering an increased range.
