American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC), the sole distributor in the continental United States of Suzuki Motor Corporation automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and marine outboard engines, will restructure under chapter 11. The company plans to wind down and discontinue new automobile sales in the continental US.

How about a car-mounted wind-generator? Toyota has had a battery recycling program since 1998 and even offers dealers a $200 bounty to ensure batteries arent just thrown away (described at end of linked document). At the moment, only 2004-2007 Priuses , and to a limited extent, the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrids.
