GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. The Toyota Prius, a battery-gasoline hybrid, is a very famous and recognizable example of this approach.

What is a surprise to us, was the rebound in sales of the Prius Prime, which was up 128% YOY. And as you can see from the chart below, the the Prius is heading toward 60% of its sales being for the Prime PHEV version. 4 was only beginning to reach US dealers. 4 (16,742) BEVs. For the year the Mach-E outsold the ID.4

The plug-in Prius is a separate model from the all new 2010 Prius Hybrid. The fleet models will be part of a test bed for Toyota and future development of the plug-in Prius may at some point lead to a consumer model. The plug-in Prius is expected to launch sometime in 2010.
