Now dealers will have the ability to allow consumers to form their own opinions of the Volt through test drives and demonstrations. In the first quarter of 2011, approximately 550 demonstration Volts will be delivered to Chevy dealers. We know the best way to experience the Volt is to get behind the wheel and drive it.

Customers nationwide will be able to order Volts with participating dealers beginning in the second quarter. Deliveries will begin in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii in the third quarter. Customer deliveries in Michigan begin this spring.

When it first went on sale, the Kia Soul EV electric car was only available at select dealers in California. Earlier this year, Kia announced the expansion of sales to Oregon, Washington, Georgia, Texas, and Hawaii. But Kia later followed up on a promise to expand sales when it determined that there was significant interest.

Participating Chevrolet dealers in seven key launch markets across Canada have begun taking orders for the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Volt, with an MSRP starting at C$41,545 (US$43,568). By the end of the year, more than 2,500 US dealers will receive a dedicated Volt demo. The Volt is clearly bringing new customers to our dealership.

Ford informed dealers in a letter that it was discontinuing the end-of-lease purchase option for the E-Transit van, Mustang Mach-E, and F-150 Lightning. As of June 15, 2022, Ford will no longer offer the opportunity to purchase its three all-electric vehicles, the F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, and E-Transit Van, for new leases.

Georgia has a tax credit worth up to $5,000 for zero-emissions vehicles. Oregon has a Chief EV Officer to promote EV use. Atlanta, a “New Wave” EV market that has nabbed the Nº 3 spot due to a number of factors including congestion where LEAF performs well, state incentives and HOV and HOT access. Washington D.C.

The Georgia rebate was revoked in July 2015, and a Texas incentive was limited in its availability throughout the year. Of the 26 metropolitan areas in this study, the four in California, four in the Northeast, and two in Oregon are in ZEV states.
