Parker Hannifin Corporation, in partnership with Autocar, delivered hydraulic hybrid refuse vehicles to three South Florida municipalities ( earlier post ): City of Miami, the City of Hialeah, and Miami-Dade County. Hydraulic hybrid technology represents a breakthrough in efforts to reduce fuel use and pollution from these vehicles.

Considered by many to be the ultimate eco-car, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation finally unveiled the production version of the i-MiEV as part of World Environment Day in Tokyo. The company will then start sales of the i-MiEV to individuals starting in April 2010 with orders to be taken on the Mitsubishi website starting in late July.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) unveiled the production version of the i-MiEV electric vehicle on World Environment Day in Tokyo. GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Committed to sales of 10,000 or more vehicles in late 2010, with increasing production in 2011. Expected deposits in 2009 and first sales in CA in 2010.
