With the cruise control on, managed to have a lovely conversation with Karthik on Jared Diamond’s excellent book Guns, Germs and Steel. (In Jayram works with Google and has been staying at Seattle for two decades before that. The womenfolk created some sewing kits and embroidery frames. It’s a Zen feeling.

Several after-market companies have done PHEV conversions of the Ford Escape hybrid and one has done a retrofit of the F-150 pickup -- see Where PHEVs Are and ICE-Conversions.) That said, the interest in conversions continues to validate hybrid technology as a core technology thats here to stay.
