Monday afternoon, a CSX oil train (109 cars, two locomotives, carrying Bakken crude from North Dakota) derailed in West Virginia, resulting in a fire, with an as yet unspecified number of cars rupturing and exploding. Earl Ray Tomblin issued a State of Emergency for Kanawha and Fayette counties following the derailment.
