Ford opens E-Transit Registration site for commercial customers; new pricing

To date, more than 450 commercial customers in North America, including 200 top fleets and fleet management companies, have said they’re interested in purchasing the E-Transit. It will be built alongside the Transit at Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.

Ford Motor Company and Smith Electric Vehicles US (SEV US) have mutually agreed to terminate the development project of an electric car-derived van based on Transit Connect. Retail sales grew 7%, while fleet sales were up 1%—the company’s best April retail sales in nine years. Kansas City Assembly, the second assembly plant building the popular new F-150, continues to ramp up production through the second quarter.
