Volvo Cars is integrating and testing wireless charging technology in a live city environment together with selected partners, evaluating its potential for future electric cars. The charging station sends energy through the charging pad, which is picked up by a receiver unit in the car.

ChargePoint’s DC fast chargers would supply Volvo’s C40 Recharge from 20 percent state of charge to 90 percent in just 40 minutes. That’s plenty of time to order a coffee and enjoy it, returning to your near fully-charged car. The ChargePoint app is integrated into Volvo Recharge models’ in-dash system.

Mobilize will unveil Limo, a 4.67m four-door fully-electric sedan, specifically designed for for taxi/private hire (PHV) drivers and fleet, at Munich IAA Mobility 2021. Mobilize Limo runs on a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 60 kWh offering around 450 km (pending WLTP certification) between recharging sessions.
