Multiple THATs can be chained together if more processing power is required, and a hybrid connection port is provided to make it easier to interface a THAT with a digital computer.

The demo was conducted using the NVIDIA Jetson TX1 embedded module—unveiled yesterday at an NVIDIA event in San Francisco. Jetson TX1 is the first embedded computer designed to process deep neural networks—software that can learn to recognize objects or interpret information. Support for CUDA 7.0.

Instructors can teach their skills as if live before students, while engineers could demo prototypes by beaming themselves to colleagues with access to networked cabinets.

The production plug-in hybrid has a number of key changes from the 125 prototype demo units that were deployed in the field for testing and customer feedback. Changes include: Completely new battery design. The demo units defaulted to EV mode. In place of a spare tire, the Prius Plug-in carries a tire-sealing kit and inflator.

Simulation of the vehicle to a grid-connected system at a private charging station and finding how to flatten the load curve. A little bird tells me that the original Etergo design called for an aluminium battery case. But portability in the Etergo design made them go in for lighter plastic. With the current design being a fixed pack, Ola folks can relook the aluminium option. There is an aluminium bus bar for connecting the cells in series.
