Maserati says the top speed is a stunning 203 mph, which we believe, but did not attempt, making it the fastest vehicle in its class. I personally have always like this system’s controls, look and ease-of-use, though some may find it isn’t fancy enough for this class of vehicle. Not in reality, but certainly in their dreams.

On our 985-mile California Cruising road trip we spent the majority of our time in the 55-65 mph range. The turning radius was impressive, making for easy U-turns in your neighborhood.

A thinking person should ask, “How did the Leaf owner travel the unaccounted miles, the ones that were not e-miles?” We are suggesting that the variation in power and energy from renewable sources can be managed much more easily and economically with the batteries in PHEVs when they are plugged into the grid with a low power connection.
