ABB installing electric-vehicle fast chargers at BP service stations in Netherlands

Power and automation technology group ABB has started installing multiple fast-charging systems for electric vehicles (EVs) at some BP service stations in the Netherlands as part of a nationwide trial. Prestige GreenCab, a Dutch taxi operator with a large electric-vehicle fleet, took the initiative for the installations in Utrecht.

First Fastned fast-charging stations broke-even in March

The Netherlands-based Fastned, the company building a European network of fast charging stations, saw its first two stations break-even in March. Fastned began installing stations in The Netherlands in 2015; 57 are currently in operation. Fastned expects that more stations will pass the break-even point in the coming months.
