The rental-car giant Hertz has announced that it’s selling a third of its EV fleet —about 20,000 EVs, including some Teslas—to buy gasoline cars. And Vietnam’s Vinfast revealed an electric pickup concept, a $20,000 mini electric SUV, and a retro-styled e-bike, all at this week’s CES in Las Vegas.

At CES in Las Vegas, the Honda Saloon and Space-Hub concepts provided a head-turning first look at the automaker’s 0 Series (Zero Series) EVs set to launch starting in 2026. Afeela electric sedan prototype as shown at CES 2024 Sony led its CES presentation by touting all the ways its bringing movies, TV, and gaming to market.

Ram Trucks, the US truck arm of global automaker Stellantis , took the wraps off what it called the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept truck on Thursday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Paradigm breaker’ plug-in hybrid to come.

Showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in January in Las Vegas ( earlier post ), the FCV Concept, which presages the introduction of the series-production vehicle, made its European debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. kW/L—twice as high as that of its previous FCV, the Toyota FCHV-adv (earlier post).

The performance of this new generation of powertrains will reflect significant advances in battery, electric motor and gasoline engine technologies. The next Prius will also feature electric motors that will be smaller in size. We have also heard from owners that they would like a more convenient charging operation.

The Bronco Sport has been a success with its first full year of 2022 seeing 99,547 sales, and through August 2023 it is running at a 23.6% sales increase compared to last year. There is also a similar program in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the full-size Bronco. Some videos that capture the fun.
