It looks like the Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator are dumping their hybrid trims for the 2024 model year. The Explorer SUV was previously offered with a hybridized 3.3-liter liter V6, whereas the Aviator Grand Touring came with a hybridized twin-turbo 3.0-liter These powertrains won’t be available on the retail market anymore.

I get it – sound deadening equals fuel-economy killing weight. Still, if you want Lexus quiet from your hybrids, you’ll need to, you know, buy a Lexus. Fuel economy is listed at 52 mpg across the board for city/highway/combined. mpg -- and the computer wasn't reset when I picked up the car.

The Toyota Prius has pretty much always been focused solely on fuel economy. Driving dynamics took a back seat to fuel economy. If you bought a Prius (or leased one) you likely bought it for fuel economy – or maybe because it was affordable. The design was driven by the desire to maximize MPGs.
