Get into ICE small premium and the choice is wide – but you are them emitting CO2. With a maximum DC fast-charging rate of 144kW, the MG4 Essence 77 can recharge its battery pack from 10-80 percent in a claimed 38 minutes. Sadly, there’s no spare tyre under the boot floor, just an inflator kit.

If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem. The intolerable act is to pretend that making cars into plug-ins will reduce CO2.
