Ghana’s Drive Electric Initiative aims: To drive the utilisation of Ghana’s excess electricity supply. The Drive Electric Initiative was launched in October 2019.

The report shows that the three largest exporters of used vehicles—the European Union (EU), Japan, and the United States of America (USA)—exported 14 million used light duty vehicles (LDVs) worldwide between 2015 and 2018. Zimbabwe’s national statistics agency, Zimstat, recently released its Transport Statistics Report for the 2nd Quarter of 2023. The report says as of June 30, 2023, light motor vehicles (up to 2,300 kg) accounted for 76.5% of the 1,583,700 registered vehicles in the country.
