Hyundai Motor Company will establish a Hyundai Mobility Global Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICs) to accelerate its innovation efforts, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). It also will help define the future business direction for the company. HMGICs will become Hyundai’s global open innovation hub.

General Motors has acquired substantially all the assets of Israel-based battery software startup ALGOLiON Ltd. ALGOLiON employees, including the company’s founders, will remain based in Israel and join more than 850 employees at the GM Technical Center in Herzliya, Israel. for an undisclosed sum.

Israel-based StoreDot, the developer of extreme fast charging battery technology for electric vehicles ( earlier post ), has demonstrated a prototype 4680 form factor cell that is fully charged in just 10 minutes. StoreDot’s extreme fast charging cells have been in development for more than three years.
