Ballard Power Systems signed a supply agreement with the Center for Transportation and the Environment for a 150 kW FCvelocity-HD6 fuel cell module to be integrated into a bus that will be deployed with CTTransit in Hartford, Connecticut. Following WHTC2013, Azure is expected to redeploy the system to another as yet unnamed location in China.

The expansion of production facilities in US and China will enable the company to build and deliver 2,000 fuel cell engines per year in the US and additional 2,000 engines in China.
