General Motors and its joint ventures had record June deliveries in China of 273,563 units, which was up 11.2% The strong June performance enabled GM to set a first half record for deliveries in China. Demand for the Rong Guang V minivan was up 20%. Chevrolet deliveries were down 25% year over year in June to 35,648 units.

General Motors and its joint ventures sold a May record 231,183 vehicles in China. Shanghai GM’s domestic sales rose 7.1% SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 127,749 vehicles in China, an increase of 35.9% FAW-GM sold 3,756 vehicles in the domestic market last month, down 0.7% Chevrolet sales in China were up 13.1% year on year.

Buoyed by strong demand for the Chevrolet brand and ongoing positive demand for its other brands, GM sales totaled 196,004 units.
