And oil only seems cheap. Since our cars and trucks use almost two-thirds of the oil we buy, the quickest way to cut oil use is to free transportation from its grip. And the first plug-in cars mass-produced in the USA in a century will go on sale this fall. But let’s realize: defending our nation is never cheap.

In May 2008, Toyota saw its Prius hybrid car turn it towards profitability in America and it scrapped plans to build a sport utility truck plant in Tupelo, Mississippi and chose to build a Prius plant there instead. While sales of vehicles slumped all around in the US, it was the fuel efficient cars that took arguably the biggest hit.

The trouble is you then have to stop right away, which brings about some pretty strong regenerative braking action, something that Chrysler needs to work on before making the Circuit available for sale. An (expected) high price tag. Then I can keep my current quad cab truck for when I need to move more people or haul stuff.

Millions will plug-in their electric vehicles [EV], plug-in hybrids [PHEV] and fuel cell vehicles [FCV] at night when electricity is cheap, then plug-in during the day when energy is expensive and sell those extra electrons at a profit.
