Swedish automaker Volvo has rolled out its last diesel-powered vehicle, after a 45-year relationship with the powertrain and cranking out millions of diesel cars. Since 1991, Volvo made more than 9 million vehicles with diesel engines. Well, not exactly of yore , but at least it’s la fin for Volvo’s contribution.

The Polestar 3 shares its basic proportions with the upcoming Volvo EX90. None of which will be cheap, the Polestar 3 is priced from $132,900 before on-roads.

Options are very limited for super-breeders needing more than five seats – although the Kia EV9 due late in 2023 will provide a tantalising option – but a huge advantage of going EV (if built on an electric vehicle-only platform) is roomier and smarter interior packaging compared to petrol and diesel vehicles.
