For those who need even more juice, you can, of course, just keep a spare battery around. Sure, it’s not cheap, and it will still be a few years before electrics can rival gas-powered tools on price, but it definitely wins in a number of other categories and handles everything I (or my dad) could need for general-purpose tasks.

Without gasoline, today’s transportation fails. Consumer confidence in electric transportation is growing – aided in no small part by $4 to $5 gallons of gasoline. Given the cost of oil and the economic, geopolitical and ecological effects of our continued reliance on petroleum, electric transportation will be cheap.

This is by no means cheap, but is relatively competitive with the higher-end wake boats from companies like Nautique or Malibu (Nautique has its own electric wake boat , which starts at $312k). And it’s a lot cheaper to fuel than paying marina rates for gasoline.

Bill lives a good 60 miles from San Francisco, so he needs to get some juice to make his trip home after work. Some argue it’s so easy and so cheap employers should just do it.

For ages, this writer used a gasoline-powered pressure washer, firm in the belief it ran better and more reliably than any cheap electric plug-in unit ever would. The battery is a large cube and sits where the gasoline engine resided on my old pressure washer, consuming about the same amount of space.

Millions will plug-in their electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and fuel cell vehicles (FCV) at night when electricity is cheap, then plug-in during the day when energy is expensive and sell those extra electrons at a profit.
