Now you can run it solely on electric power for up to 21 miles and plug it in to charge. Speaking of warning, we can’t say we didn’t warn you that this Jeep doesn’t come cheap. But if you have the scratch and the access to juice, it makes a strong argument for itself. The base price for my test unit was $58,595.

For ages, this writer used a gasoline-powered pressure washer, firm in the belief it ran better and more reliably than any cheap electric plug-in unit ever would. battery-powered household tools have come a long way from the Bad Old Days – and are even light years ahead in terms of performance than those on sale just a few years ago.

Never charge your battery when it is below freezing (32ºF or 0ºC). Use lights and reflective clothing or accessories to ensure you are seen by other road users. Knobbie mountain bike tires or fat bike tires are better for riding through snow, but icy conditions are best served with actual studded tires.

All plug-in cars these days come with a 120-volt charge cord. Surprising to many, including I suspect Tesla Motors itself, they found that about half the charging of Roadsters at home in the U.S. Despite the fact that it takes 38-60 hours to charge a Tesla from empty to full at 120V. Not because I always charge at 120V mind you.
