The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, has renewed calls for scrapping the most polluting diesel cars and giving drivers cash incentives to switch to cleaner vehicles as part of the evidence he gave to the Environmental Audit Committee today. There are also proposals to tighten the standards for the London-wide Low Emission Zone from 2025.

The British Government is attempting to strangle the electric car baby in its London cradle. The small, 45mph zero-emission vehicles have found a ready market in London - 850 sold so far - where electrics are exempt from the stiff daily congestion charge for driving in central London.

You can buy it now. How many millions have they spent to develop a vehicle that you cant buy, that no one is prepared to service and that most Americans wouldnt want if you gave it to them? Give me a vanilla version without the revenue generating doodads and Ill buy one or two. Maybe three. Look at it this way.
