In contrast, from what I’ve read about BYD and their situation in California, they haven’t made a big push to make their Los Angeles factory more localized. Polestar already imports cars from China, but plans to build them in the US soon. A car maker that happens to be from China can work something out if they really wanted to.

Linde currently has two fueling stations open in California, with 5 more opening this year and the next.
