The expansion of the Supercharger network builds upon the initial deployment of the network in California and Nevada on the west coast and the Washington, DC to Boston region on the east coast. Tesla says that the Supercharger network has enabled an estimated 1 million miles of electric driving since going live in October 2012.

Linde currently is operating hydrogen stations also for fuel cell forklifts, notably for the BMW South Carolina plant, where they are dispensing hydrogen—around the clock—at the rate of 700kg/day. GM already has a fleet of vehicles that has accumulated more than 3 million miles of real world driving.

Per BMW’s press release the MINI E will be motivated by a 150kW electric drive system with a range of 150 miles per charge and a top speed of 95 mph. We’ll know soon enough when we get the opportunity to see the debut of the all electric plug-in MINI E in November 2008 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
