Among liquid biofuels, ethanol is the most widely used for blending with petrol, while biodiesel and bio methanol are produced globally at a y lower scale. E10, which is a mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% petrol can be used in existing vehicles, without any need for modification. the GHG emissions are ~50% lower than that for petrol.

Existing gasoline-powered vehicles may be converted to a natural gas vehicle or they can be used as bi-fuel (petrol and CNG) vehicle. The new figures come on the week the Government increases the amount of biofuels in our petrol and diesel from 2.5 It reveals that when the full impact of deforestation is taken into account, biofuels added to UK petrol and diesel may be producing more than twice the carbon dioxide of the fossil fuels they replace.

Theyre not trying to send men to the moon, theyre building an ELECTRIC CAR that uses a petrol motor they already make charging batteries supplied by LG all bolted into a vehicle platform they also already have in production. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem.
