Autonomous vehicle technology company Nauto has entered into strategic agreements with three major auto companies, including BMW i Ventures and Toyota Research Institute, as well as with Allianz Ventures, part of the leading global financial service provider and insurance company Allianz Group.

Toyota held its first media briefing and drive for the RAV4 EV ( earlier post ), due to go on sale later this year in California. The converted RAV4 is the result of the partnership between Toyota and Tesla Motors announced in May 2010; Toyota has contracted for 2,600 units. He or she owns a home, which is perhaps solar-powered.

Hyundai is offering two of the cheapest cars to lease (EV or gas-powered), the IONIQ 6 and Kona EV, in the US, with prices as low as $169 per month. Earlier this month, Hyundai introduced its “Getaway Sales Event,” offering savings on popular models, including its all-electric vehicles. Who said EVs are not affordable?

The Karma, a luxury four-passenger sedan, can be recharged by plugging it in; it can then be driven on power from a battery alone for 50 miles.
