He runs a company called solarsolar at solarsolar.com He wrote the bible of the industry years ago “The New Solar Electric Home” (now in its 3rd printing). THE HOLY GRAIL OF SOLAR: $3 A WATT, CHEAPER THAN COAL. And at sub $3 you’re cheaper than coal.

The PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), a subset of the electric car, combines a primary electric motor with a much smaller back-up engine fueled with a hydrocarbon/biofuel mix. (In In this paper PHEV refers solely to the long-range PHEV of 60 miles (100 km) electric-only range.) It is much more than that.

Now there are more than 40 locations that have applied for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality VEMP Level 2 grants , and I know of a few more that are still discussing plans in committee. Until October 2019, the only thing missing at these shows was electric cars. Car show attendees are as diverse as the show entrants.

The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. Lutz, who retired earlier this year, called the car Detroits "moon shot" and an attempt to wrest the mantle of innovation back from the Japanese. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year.
