Volvo has pulled the drapes off the Volvo EM90, its first minivan in more than 70 years of car-making. Not only that it’s battery-powered and more luxurious than its flagship XC90 SUV. There’s no word on what charge that battery can accept but a 10 to 80 per cent charge is said to take less than 30 minutes.

Fresh details suggest Volvo is on track to launch an all-new battery-electric replacement for the current S90 that will be named the Volvo ES90 when it hits showrooms in 2025. According to recent leaked documents seen by Autocar the Volvo ES90 is already at the prototype stage ahead of production beginning as soon as late next year.
