Starting in 2025 they will have no new internal combustion engine models, then by 2030 will only sell battery-powered cars and SUVs. The Prius PHEV has already made its European debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show debut, and Toyota is doing its American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In Tokyo, Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) formally announced the introduction of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid—the plug-in version of the third-generation Prius gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle—into key markets. It offers 18 models that deliver 30 mpg or more. It also offers eight hybrid models. You would be much better served doing a little investigative journalism (no offense intended) to determine the percentage of cars sold that get 30 mpg or better.
