Opel and Europcar have agreed to introduce the Opel Ampera extended range electric vehicle ( earlier post ) as a rental car throughout Europe. The goal is to deploy the first vehicles in Europcar rental outlets in Germany in November of this year, followed soon afterwards by Belgium and the Netherlands. Opel Ampera.

LeasePlan will purchase more than 100 Nissan LEAF electric vehicles from Nissan and will offer them to its customers in thirteen countries in Europe, starting in early 2011 in line with Nissan’s launch plans in those markets.
