Buying a used vehicle built before 2021 likely won’t comply with RDE2 and will therefore see an additional 4-percent tax atop what will undoubtedly be the highest BIK tax bracket — which tops out at 37 percent. Previous rates didn’t even include battery powered automobiles. But that presumes you’re in the basic tax bracket.
