Leapmotor will enter nine European countries in the first phase starting September 2024, including Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, and Portugal. The company is likely to introduce models from the A to C segments, and add more MPVs, SUVs and hatchbacks in future.

In June, Volvo unveiled its smallest and cheapest SUV, the EX30 ( see our revie w ). The Swedish automaker calls the electric SUV a “cornerstone” of its EV plans. With “above-expected order rates,” Volvo will build the EX30 at its Ghent, Belgium plant (in addition to China) to meet the growing demand in Europe for low-cost EVS.

Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. Drivers of converted cars have received high levels of cooperation from dealer service departments so far. We will have similar solutions available for better (but more expensive) nickel-metal hydride or lithium-ion batteries.)
