Production of the Audi Q4 e-tron has finally started in Zwickau. The fully electric compact model is the first electric SUV to be produced by Audi in Germany. At the multi-brand plant in Zwickau, the Audi Q4 e-tron will be rolling off the same production line as the Volkswagen ID.4 4 and, in the future, another Volkswagen model.

The production version of Audi’s battery electric e-tron quattro SUV ( earlier post ), due out in 2018, is an important vehicle for the brand, and especially for Audi of America, which is driving many of the requirements for the C-segment electric SUV. Audi’s e-tron quattro concept shows its grille at the LA Auto Show. .
