Higher levels of regen allow the driver to slow the vehicle almost to a stop (with “B”), while recharging the battery. Levels “D2”, “D3” and “B” decelerate the car sufficiently that the brake lights come on. Volkswagen is electrifying all vehicle classes. One is the five different levels of regenerative brake settings, described above.
