Audi is adding a new member to its A3 family: the A3 Sportback 30 g-tron natural gas vehicle. Audi first introduced an A3 Sportback g-tron in 2014. Three CNG tanks arranged perpendicular to the direction of travel are located in the rear of the Audi A3 Sportback 30 g-tron. The inner layer is a gas-tight polyamide vessel.

Marking the first victory of a hybrid vehicle at Le Mans, the Audi R18 e-tron quattro ( earlier post ), equipped with Williams Hybrid Power’s (WHP) electromechanical hybrid flywheel system, took the top two spots at the 80 th running of the endurance race over the weeken. The win was Audi’s 11 th Le Mans victory.

Audi Motorsport unveiled the R18 e-tron quattro: the first LMP1 car to combine a highly-efficient TDI diesel engine with a hybrid system. Following on the heels of the introduction of the second-generation A5 in June ( earlier post ), Audi has now introduced the new A5 and S5 Sportback coupé models.
