Toyota has reduced the MSRP on the 2014 Prius Plug-in Hybrid by more than $2,000, making the starting MSRP $29,990 (excluding dealer preparation and handling, DPH). This price repositioning on the base Prius Plug-in Hybrid is not accompanied by any reduction in vehicle content. kWh Li-ion battery pack.

Three plug-in hybrid-electric Chrysler Town & Country minivans ( earlier post ) went into service with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), bringing to 25 the total number of such vehicles on US roads. The plug-in hybrids will be subjected to temperature extremes and variations of drive cycles.

The CVRP program offers rebates to individuals, business owners, non-profit groups, and government entities that purchase or lease new eligible zero-emission or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. In hybrid mode, it has an EPA combined mileage rating of 50 mpg. The base MSRP for the Prius Plug-in Hybrid is $32,000.

It initiated the start of the "Plug-in Arizona Educational Tour" for educating one AZ County at a time! Interestingly enough, the Automotive Class is "into" the study of hybrids at this time. A plug and a pack can make a car a 101 MPG vehicle aided by electricity. ! How perfect! And of course, now Plug-ins for extra credit!
